If your domain name is not register through site5.com hosting, and you want to host your website at site5 server. Then you will need to change the domain nameserver to point to site5 dns nameserver. Transfer domain to site5 is not necessary if you just want to host the website with site5. Unless you want to change the domain registrar to site5, then only you initiate the domain transfer to site5. And this would take 7 days. For the simple way, just change the domain nameserver and this usually take effect from few hours and up to 48 hours time.
Login to you current domain registrar and change the domain name server DNS to site5 dns as following:
- DNS.site5.com
- DNS2.site5.com
Currently, site5 hosting not offering domain privacy or anonymous domain registration. So, if your current domain having domain privacy activated, and after you transfer the domain over the site5, you will not able to activate this domain privacy feature. Please take note.

Hi FLorence,
after you signup site5 hosting and got your account, next you have to login the existing domain control panel (where you registered with), and change the domain DNS to point to site5 DNS
* DNS.site5.com
* DNS2.site5.com
Give it 24-48 hours for domain propagation to complete itself. After its done, you can get your domain pointed to site5 hosting, and you can host files from your site5 hosting account.
