Site5 hosting plan are now with unlimited hosting feature, except the hostbasic package that allows single domain hosting. For the ftp account feature, all site5 hosting plan are with unlimited ftp accounts creation. You can add ftp account to your site5 account as you like, regardless how many ftp account you require, you can create it from your site5 hosting account. From site5 ftp accounts and manager section, we manage to spot that the ftp account that you created are given 1GB storage space quota. This mean your every site5 ftp account is limited to this space quota.

When logging into the FTP server please use the username exactly as it appears below. If the username includes a “@”, make sure to include it when logging in. Example: Use “john@doe.org” and not “john”.

To create your new site5 ftp account, you have to login site5 backstage control panel and go to my ftp account. And from here you can click the add ftp account link, and this will go to the file transfer account creation page. Create a login name for this new ftp account, and give a password to it. The new default ftp account will be assigned with 10MB storage space, however you can change this figure according to your need. Allocate maximum ftp storage size to your ftp user accordingly.

Please be aware that the new user will have read/write access to the directory you choose and every directory below it. For example, if you choose to add the user john, and give the user access to /home/websites/public_html/john directory, the user will be able to add, edit, rename and remove any file or directory in /home/websites/public_html/john.
